Test #3 (Windows95 dir)
For the third and final test, I attempted to compress my entire Windows95 directory and all of its subdirectories. This was a big task. The files uncompressed took up about 130MB. Most of the archivers could not handle this, and some were just too slow. If you look at the time it took PKZIP to do it, you will see why it has become the standard for compressed files on the internet, and why it is the ideal archiver for this.
