After the creation of HTML: An Interactive Tutorial for Beginners in late 1996, Kristula realized he would need his own domain to run his site efficiently. With a $300 venture capital loan from his parents, fourteen-year-old Kristula registered the domain davesite.com and set up his site on a virtual host.
